![]() I grew up Jewish, but I wasn’t religious. This lead me on a path to self-discovery and transformation. I could’ve kept going but life had something else in store for me.Īfter a series of failed relationships, in 2018 I had a spiritual awakening and started to journey inward. In the meantime, I was working way too hard (and being way too hard on myself), busy doing way too much, feeling lonely, having heartbreak after heartbreak, and stuck on the hamster wheel of life living in the safety of having a 9-5 job with a paycheck and health insurance. While this medicine worked for me (not always the case with others), it basically suppressed almost all of my symptoms, so what did I do about it? Absolutely nothing! My body was screaming for me to change my lifestyle… but I ignored it and kept up with my NYC lifestyle of working too much, drinking a lot of alcohol, staying up late, and eating whatever and whenever I wanted to for almost 10 years! Hey, life was GOOD! The doctor put me on a daily pill “for the rest of my life” and that was that. Basically, my thyroid attacks itself and doesn’t produce enough natural hormones. In 2008, when I was 26, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis - an autoimmune dis-ease of the thyroid. Over the years, I learned different practices of connecting to my intuition that I use throughout my life and I get to share those in my practice. As human beings, we naturally get conditioned to be a certain way through learning, our experiences, and our environments. Over the years I’ve worked hard at unlearning that which was in the way of connecting with my inner wisdom. I didn’t even really know what intuition was! I was so indecisive, sometimes not knowing what to do. When I first started out on my journey, I was so disconnected from my intuition that I constantly seeked out external validation.
